Privacy notice
How information is handled in connection with this website.
Who this covers
This notice covers the Milner Consulting website at milnerconsulting.co.uk.
The Cybersecurity & AI Risk Assessment is delivered through a separate application, hosted at assessment.milnerconsulting.co.uk, which has its own privacy information. If you take part in an assessment, that information applies to the answers you give there and is provided to you as part of the engagement.
For any privacy question, or to make a request about your information, contact bradley@milnerconsulting.co.uk.
The contact form
The form on the contact page does not send anything to this website, and this website has no database in which to store it. When you submit the form, it opens a message in your own email application, addressed to bradley@milnerconsulting.co.uk. Nothing is sent until you choose to send it from there.
This means your enquiry travels from your email provider to the Milner Consulting mailbox in the ordinary way, and no copy is kept by this website.
Email you send
If you email bradley@milnerconsulting.co.uk, that message, your email address and anything you include are received in the Milner Consulting mailbox.
Information provided in an enquiry may be processed to respond to you and, where applicable, to take steps you have requested before entering into a business relationship.
Enquiries are not added to a marketing list and are not shared with anyone for marketing.
Information handled by the website host
This website is hosted by Vercel. In delivering and securing the site, the host may process standard technical information about requests, which can include IP address, the page requested, browser user-agent, timestamps and diagnostic or security information.
This is ordinary web server and content-delivery processing rather than anything specific to Milner Consulting, and it is handled under the host’s own terms and retention arrangements.
Cookies
This website does not set cookies. No page on this site sets a cookie, and there is no analytics, advertising or session technology here that would set one. That is why you are not asked to accept anything when you arrive.
If this changes, this notice will be updated and any consent that is then required will be sought.
Analytics and tracking
No analytics or advertising tracking tools are currently enabled on this website. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, no session recording and no third-party tracking script.
How long information is kept
Email correspondence is kept for as long as is reasonably necessary to respond and to manage any resulting business relationship.
General enquiries that do not lead to an ongoing relationship may be deleted after around 90 days, where that is practical. This is a working practice rather than a statutory period.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of the personal data held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, ask for its use to be restricted, object to its use, or ask for it in a portable format.
To make a request, contact bradley@milnerconsulting.co.uk. You can also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
External links
This website links in places to external references such as the Information Commissioner’s Office. Those sites are operated by other organisations, have their own privacy information, and Milner Consulting is not responsible for how they handle your information.
